BNE in cooperation with ECC International, Inc. was in May 2006 contracted for the upgrade of the HFZA’s Integrated Environmental Management System.

Coastal Cities Environmental Sanitation Project

BNE is working as subcontractor for the Joint Venture of Louis Berger Group, Inc., USA / Nippon Koei Co. Ltd., Japan. The project includes the preparation of Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Tender Documents and an adviser function to the local consultants and authorities for the implementation of Sewage Treatment Facilities and the implementation of a Waste Management System for the Coastal Cities of Nah Trang, Quy Nhon and Dong Hoi.

The SBMA is since 1992 the managing authority of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, which is formed out of the former “Subic Naval Base" after the withdrawal of the US Navy in 1991. In its efforts to improve the environmental conditions within its 67,000 hectares development area, SBMA started as early as 1996 to develop a Waste Management Master Plan, which would find its final implementation within this Project.

BNE is the appointed Waste Management Consultant for the Municipality of Sharjah (5 cities of the third largest Emirate within the UAE with approximately 700,000 inhabitants and 1,000,000 tons of waste per year). BNE is responsible for the “Waste Management Master Plan" for Municipality Solid Waste, the conceptual design of all necessary facilities (Transfer Stations; Material Recovery Facilities; Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant, Construction Waste Recycling Plant, Medical Waste Treatment Plant and Sanitary Landfill), evaluation of pre-qualification biddings, preparation and facilitation of all tender documents, evaluation of bidding documents and supervision of construction and commissioning.

The Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), located 80 kilometers north of Metro Manila, Philippines is comprised of a 4,400-hectare Main Zone and a 29,213-hectare Sub-Zone. The CSEZ is formed out of the former “Clark Field Air Base" after the withdrawal of the US Air Force in 1991. Currently, it is being developed into a model metropolis built around the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.
